The workshop will explore the nature of mind from an Ayurvedic perspective. Attendees are expected to leave with a clearer understanding of the subject matter.
In this workshop, we will explore the nature of mind from an ayurvedic perspective and by the end of the day, students will come away with a clear frame of reference for how to approach some key mental health issues like anxiety and depression using tried and tested ayurvedic tools. The day will include asana, meditation, philosophy, basic pranayama and yoga nidra. Teachers will be able to build these tools into their lesson plans and students, into their daily practice as appropriate. This CPD day is aimed at yoga practitioners, student teachers, teachers, tutors. Tarik Dervish is an experienced DCT, an ayurvedic practitioner and a transpersonal counsellor. He holds a degree in Ayurveda and has been running workshops and courses in Yoga and Ayurveda since 2001. He has taught thousands of students and trained dozens of teachers with the BWY. He is the author of Ayurveda in Yoga Teaching and is currently working on his next book The Spiritual Laws of Yoga which will be out in 2026.
