Inspired by the golden glow of sunflower season, this uplifting watercolour experience celebrates the warmth and richness of late Summer.
Golden yellows, earthy greens, bold, joyful sunflowers and the last glorious colours of summer.
September’s Paint the Seasons is inspired by the sunflower from those huge, sunshine-filled flower heads to twisting stems, textured centres and beautiful fading petals.
We'll gather at The Chestnut Horse for a relaxed morning of watercolour, working from gorgeous fresh sunflowers and exploring how to capture their colour, shape and character on paper.
Together we'll play with rich golden yellows, warm ochres and natural greens, experiment with loose expressive brushwork and build up texture before creating your own sunflower painting to take home.
No painting experience is needed. This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly session with plenty of guidance and encouragement to experiment and find your own way of painting.
Your morning includes:
• A two-hour guided watercolour painting experience
• All art materials
• Gorgeous local, fresh sunflowers to paint from
• Coffee or tea and something delicious
• Time to experiment with watercolour techniques, colour mixing and expressive mark-making
• Your finished sunflower artwork to take home
A joyful morning of colour, creativity and the last golden glow of summer.
