Workshop exploring what is happening inside the young brain during moments of distress and strategies to help manage them

Explore how children's brains develop and why they sometimes react strongly to emotions, stress, and challenging situations. This workshop will help parents and carers understand emotional regulation, what is happening inside the young brain during moments of distress, and practical ways to support children in managing big feelings with confidence and compassion. This workshop is 90 minutes long and will be delivered by the Mental Health Support Team in Schools as part of the Wigan Central Family Hub offer. If your child is struggling with big feelings, this will be a useful, informative workshop for you! We look forward to meeting you.
