Pottery Night is our weekly session where you can come and play with clay!
Pottery Night is our weekly session where you can learn the art of handbuilding with clay.
With the help of our ceramics facilitator and artist Anna FC Smith, you will be supported through the whole design process. From preparing the raw clay to sculpting your creation and glazing to finally firing your work, Pottery Night is perfect for beginners or the more seasoned potter who would like a space to get creative.
All equipment from tools to glazes and a shared kiln firing is included in the ticket price. Please be aware that you may need at least two sessions to complete one pottery piece. This is to allow for drying time between building and glazing your creations!
We've created this handy booklet which contains all the info you need to know before you come to Pottery Night! Please give it read before your first session.
Please be aware that our Pottery Night focuses on hand built and not thrown pottery. You will not have access to a pottery wheel during this session.
Here at Everyday we want our sessions to be accessible to everyone. We have offered free tickets each week through a discount code however this code is on pause now whilst we await new funding. If you'd like to attend pottery night and are finding it hard to pay, send an email to hello@everydaywigan.org.uk and we'll see what we can do.
