Foróige's National Volunteer Conference- Empowering Young Futures: Celebrating Volunteer Impact

In this International Year of the Volunteer, come to the Tower Hotel on the bank of the river Suir in Waterford city for our conference celebrating how Foróige’s 5,000 volunteers empower and change young lives. The Conference is a wonderful opportunity for mentors, leaders, project volunteers, board members and others to come together as one Foróige volunteer community. The conference facilitates the exchange of ideas and learning through interactive discussions, inspiring guest speakers, fun and practical workshops and the many wonderful conversations you will have.

Cost

The cost of attending is far below the actual cost as it is subsidised significantly by Foróige. Your club project or District Council may subsidise it further. We have options varying from €40 to attend for one day, all the way up to to €295 for the full conference with a single room. The twin room option will cost €195 per person sharing. See more below.

For the price many hotels are charging for one night, you will get 2 nights plus all your meals, a live band, a quiz and much more.

Tickets

Each person must book their ticket individually and give a personal email address so we can send you the information you need. Tickets cannot be booked in groups.

Club, Mentor and Project volunteers applying must be listed as active in Salesforce.

For clubs, please note that, space allowing, we will take the first three leaders who apply from each cub. Others will go on a waiting list.

Places are limited, and so booking and paying may not guarantee a place. If there are any issues with your ticket Foróige will contact you directly. Any refunds will be administered through Foróige Parkwest.

Accommodation Costs and subsidies

We have single rooms for €295 but some double and triple rooms too. There is a discount for shared rooms ( €195 per person).

Unwaged: There is a €15 reduction on the two main ticket types for people who are unwaged. To apply for this use the promo code "unwaged"on either the full weekend cost or the Saturday/ Sunday only cost.

Normally, the conference fee is non-refundable except for exceptional circumstances or if we cannot give you a place. Cancellations must be notified to Kathie.odonovan@foroige.ie no later than Friday 2nd October. Apply early to avoid disappointment.

Friday Night Dinner arrangements

Dinner is available from 6pm on Friday night, until about 8pm. Please let us know if you will not be there for dinner. If you cannot make it for dinner on Friday night we can organise sandwiches & Tea/Coffee up to 9.30pm upon request.
