Take a log and turn it into a spoon you’ll be able to use in the kitchen forever!
This full day course teaches you how to safely and effectively use axes and different knives to shape a log, giving you the perfect introduction into making spoons for yourself at home. Skills you will learn: Safe and effective use of a carving axe, carving knife and hook knife; an understanding of what green wood work is and why we make spoons from fresh wood; an understanding of the properties of wood and how they effect your spoon carving. David Hunter is a full time coppice and green woodworker who had been carving spoons for over 10 years.
