Monthly Hands On Fermentation Workshops at Blackhills CSA. Hosted by Aoife from Good for You Ferments
Join us for a relaxed and creative monthly workshop where you will harvest seasonal vegetables straight from the field and turn them into delicious homemade ferments to take home.
Each month we will work with whatever is naturally abundant during the growing season, using fresh chemical free produce grown at Blackhills CSA. You will learn how to make both a traditional sauerkraut style ferment and a chunky seasonal vegetable ferment while exploring different herbs, spices and flavour combinations.
The workshops are led by Aoife from Good for You Ferments, a multi award winning Swansea business passionate about helping people discover simple ways to make nourishing food at home.
These workshops are designed to give you confidence in the simple and rewarding skill of vegetable fermentation. This ancient technique requires no special equipment or electricity, helps preserve seasonal harvests, supports gut health and creates bold, complex flavours from everyday vegetables.
Perfect for complete beginners as well as anyone with some fermentation experience, especially growers and gardeners looking for ways to use up seasonal gluts. Alongside practical skills you will enjoy time outdoors in a beautiful natural setting, connect with like minded people and discover a fun and accessible way to make nutritious food at home.
