About This Event

Orienteering at Wentworth Castle Gardens will take place at Wentworth Castle Gardens on 30 July 2026. The activity allows participants to explore the outdoors. Courses are available for various ages and fitness levels.

Orienteering is a great way to get out and explore the outdoors. It doesn't matter how young, old or fit you are as you can choose the course that's right for you and run, jog or walk it at your own pace.

With thanks to our friends at South Yorkshire Orienteers we now have 4 permanent routes to choose from with a shorter and longer choice in both the gardens and parkland. Dogs are welcome to join in the fun on a short fixed-length lead so why not bring the whole family along for an adventure?

The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course. No experience of orienteering is necessary as our team can explain what to do before you get started. Bring a pen or pencil with you and buy your trail map on arrival.
