The Squirrel Challenge is a lively, nature-inspired adventure taking place on Brownsea Island as part of this year’s Summer of Play activities. Families, children, and curious explorers are invited to step into the world of Brownsea’s iconic red squirrels and take on a series of playful, squirrel‑themed challenges.

From nut‑gathering races to balance‑beam “branch” walks, agility courses, and creative woodland tasks, each activity is designed to celebrate the speed, skill, and cheeky charm of the island’s most beloved residents. Whether you’re competing, cheering, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the Squirrel Challenge offers a joyful day of outdoor play, imagination, and nature connection.

Please note that the boat fare and admission fees still apply, which are payable on the day. This event is sponsored by Starling Bank and supported by Sport England.
