The TROPILOCO Collingwood St Takeover returns to The Social Club on 21 September 2026 as Newcastle University celebrates its largest Freshers street party. Accessible across ten venues for over 5,000 students, the event features various performers and offers entry from £8.00. This high-energy takeover creates a vibrant nightlife experience specifically designed for the university community.

This isn’t a club night. We’re taking over the whole street.

Tropiloco is turning Newcastle’s most iconic nightlife strip into one massive student playground, with 5,000+ students moving between 10+ venues for the biggest Collingwood Street takeover Freshers has ever seen.

One ticket gets you access all areas. Start wherever you want, follow the noise and switch venues whenever the vibe calls for it. Every door opens onto something different — from tropical house and disco to R&B, hip-hop, party anthems and full-volume club chaos.
