Launch of co-produced films highlighting lived experience, recovery and support for gambling-related harms in the North East.
The ADPH North East Gambling Harms Programme and members of the North East Gambling Harms Lived Experience Forum have co-produced a series of short films designed to raise awareness of gambling-related harms and amplify the voices of people with lived experience across the region.
This event will launch and showcase the films, which explore the impact of gambling harms on health and wellbeing, share personal recovery journeys, and highlight the treatment and support services available to individuals and families affected by gambling-related harm.
Attendees will hear about the co-production process behind the films, gain insight into the value of lived experience in shaping gambling harms work and take part in a facilitated Q&A discussion with individuals involved in the project. The event will also provide an opportunity to explore how the films can be used within organisations, services and communities to support awareness raising, education and prevention efforts across the North East.
Refreshments and light lunch will be provided. As places are limited, advance registration is required.
A detailed agenda will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event date.
Please be aware that the event will include discussion of sensitive topics that some attendees may find distressing. Support will be available on the day for anyone. We encourage attendees to consider their own wellbeing when deciding whether to attend.
