About This Event

The Quietening is a storytelling event for adults that explores themes of chosen family and queer community. The Quietening is a story about chosen family, queer community, and what happens when someone refuses to give up on you. When Jacob's estranged Mum dies, he has to confront a past he’s spent years trying to outrun. Grumpy, withdrawn and carrying the lasting effects of conversion therapy, he's built a life around keeping people at a distance - until he meets Ethan. Ethan seems determined to break through every wall Jacob has built - and as their relationship deepens, Jacob begins to face memories that have been buried for decades, and discovers that healing might actually be possible. Brought to you by Half Light Creative following their ★★★★ and ★★★★★ rated debut Five.
