These events are for adults only and are suitable for 18+years. Tuesday 16th June - Biodiversity of Mugdock Wood Mugdock wood is classed as an ancient woodland and as such is rich in biodiversity. Come along and discover what this wonderful place holds close. Sunday 21st June - Hapa Zome On this adult only event, we will visit different habitats gathering suitable flowers, leaves and other vegetation to create bespoke prints. This using the ancient Japanese technique called Hapa Zome. Full instruction and all resources will be given. Sunday 5th July - Introduction to Whittling Try your hand at the ancient skill of whittling and bring into existence a unique creation using just a small knife and a piece of hazel wood. No experience necessary as the ranger will guide you through the process. All tools will be provided and you can take home whatever you create. Sunday 9th August - Cyanotype Cyanotype prints have been in exisitence for hundreds of years. Come along and try your hand at this old skill of harnessing the sun to create unique and ethereal prints. We will gather leaves and flowers before creating one off and unusual pictures. Sunday 30th August - Summer Tree I.D Mugdock is home to some amazing native species of trees. It\'s also home to species of trees that were brought here in the last two hundred years by various land owners. Come along with the ranger to discover the fascinating world of our wonderful trees.
