Take 2 presents family-friendly films at Glasgow Film Theatre, aimed at fostering a love of cinema for children in the city. It takes place on 8 August 2026.
A lifelong love of cinema starts here! We believe that every child in Glasgow should be able to enjoy the best big screen experience that the city has to offer, so we run free family film screenings every Saturday morning. We also run Take 2 Access screenings on the second Saturday of every month – a film in a relaxed and welcoming environment for neurodivergent children and families. Children aged 14 and under attending a Take 2 screening receive a free ticket for themselves and one free ticket for their accompanying adult. Extra adult tickets cost £6.40 each. Free tickets are only issued from our Box Office on the day of the screening. How To Get Free Tickets: Every child aged 14 and under attending a Take 2 screening receives a free ticket for themselves and one free ticket for their accompanying adult. Any additional adult tickets are priced at £6.40 each, which is discounted from our standard adult price (£11.90). Free tickets are only issued on the day of the screening. All tickets booked in advance of the screening date are priced at £6.40. For Take 2 Access screenings, each child aged 14 and under receives a free ticket for themselves and two free tickets for accompanying adults. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you to Glasgow City Council Communities Fund for supporting this programme.
