Bring a piece you love, your own artwork, a favourite print, a photograph, a treasured textile or a memento. Leave with it beautifully and professionally framed by you, with materials that will protect it for years to come. Frame Your Own Art is a relaxed, hands on picture framing class in my studio in Govan, Glasgow. Whether you're a complete beginner or have framed before, I'll guide you through every stage the professional, conservation way. Choosing your mount and moulding, mounting your artwork with acid-free, reversible materials, mitring the frame, cutting and fitting anti-UV, non-reflective Art Glass. Here's what makes the day different. Most off the shelf frames quietly work against the very thing they contain. Acidic boards that yellow the mount bevel and mark the paper over time. Or regular glass, which throws back your own reflection and lets daylight fade the colours. We use only conservation grade, archival materials and gallery standard ArtGlass, so your piece isn't only framed, it's protected and preserved, exactly as a valuable original would be. It's the difference between a frame that looks smart for a while and one that safeguards something you care about for decades. Classes are kept small and personal, for one or two people. The day moves at your pace and every cut and corner gets the attention it deserves. There's no rush and no jargon: just good company, expert guidance, and a proper lunch. Before your visit we'll have a short video consultation to talk through your piece and the finish you're after, so the day's pace is dictated by you. It's a genuinely absorbing thing to do on your own and just as lovely shared. Bring a friend, your partner or a family member and make a day of it. The studio easily accommodates two. Either way, the day belongs to you. It begins at a time that suits you, finishing when you're happy with your work. You will receive expert personalised tuition and friendly guidance to create a beautiful, custom, conservation framed piece for the art you bring and gain valuable hands on framing skills. Plus lunch! INCLUDES • Pre class video consultation to plan your piece • Clear and friendly communication • Free and secure parking • All tools, equipment and conservation grade, acidfree archival materials • Museum quality mount board and moulding • Anti-UV, non-reflective Art Glass (protects against fading) • Expert personalised one-to-one (or one-to-two) tuition all day • Lunch and refreshments • Your finished, ready to hang framed piece protected to last for decades • Aftercare guidance + a discount on any future classes
