About This Event

The Royal Scots Club presents the second instalment of its epic stage adaptation of *I, Claudius*, drawing on Jack Pulman’s celebrated 1976 television series. Set amid the treacherous splendour of Imperial Rome, the drama follows Claudius as he records the corruption, violence and moral decay that mark the reigns of Caligula, Tiberius and Nero. This production brings a tale of madness and absolute power to the stage, performed by an ensemble cast. The performance begins at 6.15pm on Tuesday 18 August 2026. Ticket prices are available on the venue’s website.

This production is a stage adaptation of Jack Pulman’s 1976 BBC series, focusing on the dynastic conflict of Imperial Rome. The plot follows Claudius as he chronicles the decadence, corruption, and carnage associated with the rule of Caligula, Tiberius and Nero.

Tickets for Part 1 are sold separately. This performance can be seen on alternating nights, or as part of a double bill on 21 and 22 August. Additional dates for this production are 20, 21 and 22 August 2026.
