The Kleio Quartet makes a welcome return to the Edinburgh International Festival on Wednesday 19 August 2026, following their critically acclaimed debut in 2024. This time, at the Queen’s Hall, the ensemble is joined by cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Makoto Ozone for a programme built around two major quintets. The first is Franz Schubert’s String Quintet, a cornerstone of the chamber music repertoire. The second work brings together the full forces of the quartet, Kanneh-Mason and Ozone in a collaborative performance. The Kleio Quartet are BBC New Generation Artists and winners of the 2023 Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition.
