Collective Gallery on Calton Hill hosts Collective Gala – a free day of art, music, makers, tours and creative play for all. Now in its third edition, the Collective Gala invites audiences of all ages to experience their unique site on Calton Hill and engage with their wide-ranging programme of family activities. This year’s event offers the opportunity to participate in performances with Scottish artists, join behind-the scenes tours, and creative play sessions for children. Plus, all day activities will include the opportunity to see and buy work from local makers; enjoy food from Cafe Calton; view new artworks and performance from Debjani Banerjee; explore the architecture of the site, and visit the gallery’s summer exhibitions from Katie Paterson and Richard Maguire. The day will culminate in a celebratory procession inspired by Gala traditions – led by artists Debjani Banerjee and Kat Stanley. With free admission, Collective Gala runs from 11am to 4.30pm on 05 September 2026.
