The trio of Roger Turner, Chris Biscoe, and NO Moore has a number of gigs under its belt at this point, and is achieving a ‘group sound’ as a result. With nimble interaction, imagination, and energy, the trio pulls on a wealth of experience drawn from UK based jazz, free improvisation, and experimental musics. Josh Ison – Saxes Dominic Lash – Guitar Elien De Schryver – Violin The trio of Dominic Lash, Elien De Schryver, and Josh Ison pulls together some of the most searching and original improvisors in the Cambridge region. These players can all go from a light, searching touch to dense and confident beauty. With keen listening between them, sound and feeling will be woven and embroidered. About Roger Turner and Chris Biscoe have played together since the 1960s, though it’s only in the 2000s that they have regularly gigged. N.O.Moore recently recorded with Roger, and the inspiring soundscape he brings to performance suggested him as a new voice to amplify this enduring partnership. Chris Biscoe – alto/soprano sax, alto clarinet ‘Biscoe’s ability to bridge sound worlds as different as Evan Parker’s and Charlie Parker’s makes him one of the most formidable European saxophonists’ John Fordham, The Guardian. Chris Biscoe is one of the players who bridge the worlds of jazz, free jazz and improvised music. Records and tours with George Russell, Mike Westbrook, Andy Sheppard, The Brotherhood of Breath, Liam Noble, Tony Kofi, Allison Neale, Hermeto Pascoal, The New York Composers Orchestra, and David Murray. His playing partners include Lol Coxhill, Eddie Prevost, Evan Parker, Rachel Musson, Ingrid Laubrock, Dewey Redman, Elton Dean, Paul Rutherford, Tony Marsh, and Vincent Courtois. N.O.Moore – guitar and electronic instruments NO Moore is an electric guitarist informed by improvisation, rock, jazz, and modern classical and electronic music. Notable collaborators, live and on record, include Sue Lynch, Eddie Prevost, Henry Kaiser, John Butcher, Caroline Kraabel, Roger Turner, Dominic Lash, Rachel Musson, Ray Russell, Steve Noble, Alan Wilkinson, Phil Durrant, Chris Biscoe.
