The Ancient Spinning Circle is a regular event held in an Iron Age roundhouse at the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre. Activities include spinning yarn from sheep and discussing the past. Tickets are £6.00.
Join this regular event where we will sit in our Iron Age roundhouse, spin yarn from our sheep and talk about life and the past.

Come and step back in time and learn the ancient craft of carding and spinning fleece from the sheep at Hengistbury Head inside an Iron Age roundhouse. Join the spinning circle, where yarn is spun and stories are shared, as people have done over many centuries, in preparation for weaving the vital fabrics worn and used in everyday life.
An opportunity to see our volunteer-built Iron Age roundhouse, meet new people and have a go at spinning yarn we use for our historic weaving projects.
Great for your mental health and wellness, and to connect back to nature. Saturday September 5th, 10am - 12pm
