About York Dungeon Standard Admission

York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history. The experience uses live actors, immersive sets and special effects to present the city’s past.

Along the way, you encounter Vikings and their Saxon enemies, and meet historical figures including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. Scenes also cover the black plague and a torture chamber.

The story is brought to life through what you see, hear and smell, with history and performance combined in one attraction.

Younger visitors must be aged 5 and over. York Dungeon is not recommended for children under 8.
