Art workshop with Kuch Bhogal, artist-facilitator and medical doctor

Join us for a two-hour workshop about the wonders of our hearts. In an average lifetime they can beat up to 3 billion times driving the energy and oxygen delivery system of the body. The heart is also the organ that we use to talk about love and romance and it also has links to our mental health.

We’ll use drawing, collage, and conversations to think about your relationship to your heart. We’ll also talk about some of the ways we can look after our hearts because a healthy heart is a healthy life!

The workshop will be led by Kuch Bhogal, an experienced artist-facilitator with a background as a psychiatrist, and be supported by medical students from Southampton University.

We hope it will get you thinking about how the body works and also give our medical students a chance to think about how becoming a doctor means learning how to see the body as a living machine. All art abilities welcome.
