Therapeutic Creative Writing Group: "The Art of the Fall" will meet monthly at Orchard Square to explore expressive writing and self-awareness.
A monthly expressive writing session aimed at deepening self-awareness, self-understanding and self-connection.
An informal, friendly, online therapeutic creative writing group (of no more than 8 participants). No writing experience necessary.

Theme: The Art of the Fall
(This workshop is also available online on the first Sunday of the month, 4.30-6.30pm via Zoom)
This ongoing monthly therapeutic/expressive writing group is for anyone who enjoys (or thinks they might enjoy) writing for pleasure or to develop self-awareness, self-understanding and self-connection. Using prose excerpts, poetry, images and other prompts, this group invites you to explore your inner and outer worlds through writing. Sharing your writing is always optional but the invitation is there to share and discuss your writing or discoveries with others.
The aim of the workshop is to enable participants to enhance their well-being through emotional expression and illumination. Why not make a date with yourself on the first Sunday of the month, to enhance your sense of well-being and self-connection through writing?
What you will need: By all means bring a favourite notebook and pen but paper and pens will be provided.
Please note: these workshops are for adults aged 18 and over. Refunds are only available up to 7 days before the event.
About the Facilitator
The facilitator, Emma Garrard, is a Biblio/Poetry Therapist with over 20 years' experience facilitating groups, who will safely and expertly guide you through the writing process.
YOU ARE VERY WELCOME TO MEET WITH EMMA FOR A 20 MIN ZOOM CALL BEFORE ATTENDING FOR THE FIRST TIME. This is encouraged so that you know what to expect and can manage your emotional safety in the group.
