Key information about reMooable Energy 2026
Sheffield Energy Works is a newly established Community Benefit Society (CBS). Our flagship community-owned clean energy project, reMooable Energy is based at Our Cow Molly dairy farm & ice cream parlour in Dungworth, Sheffield. We'll be installing an anaerobic digester and solar panels to meet ~90% of the energy needs of the farm.
Community investment
You can invest in reMooable Energy from £5-£60,000, and become a member of Sheffield Energy Works and part-owner of the clean energy technology on site. Together, we'll sell electricity, hot water, and a natural byproduct 'digestate' to the farm, ensuring stable, renewable energy for the next 25 years.
Your capital and interest at 4% will be repaid over 20 years, at which point the farm will own the clean energy technology.
Being a member of Sheffield Energy Works CBS means having a vote in how we spend profits to benefit the local community, and how we develop future clean energy projects in the region.

Whether you're already invested, or you're considering doing so, this breakfast is for you! We want to ensure our Community Share Offer, the use of funds raised, and progress on our pipeline of community energy projects are all transparent. To that end, we're welcoming you to a breakfast session to meet our clean energy team & directors.
We're keen to continue the brilliant work being done by Community Energy England and our peers in the energy sector to make community energy go mainstream - so we'd love the opportunity to tell you more about how you can spread the word too.
