Homington International Arts Festival

Following the inaugral HIAF in Sept 24, we are delighted to bring a diverse and exciting programme of music, art, dance and spoken word to a rural village in Wiltshire.

First lineup announcement:

Friday night - North Sea Radio Orchestra + support (doors 7pm)

Salisbury-based North Sea Radio Orchestra- voices, strings, wind, percussion and guitars perform Ancient/Modern Chamber Folk. Theirs is a world where harmony and melody abound!

‘Genuinely very beautiful’ BBCMusic

In 2002 NSRO began rehearsing and performing in old churches, secreted away in the heart of the City Of London. At first their audience had to explore the lost alleys and lanes of old Londinium to hear their sounds. NSRO then moved out into the world at large; so far releasing six albums. Special Powers was released in 2025.

Saturday night - Marco Cannavo & Steve Tyler + Luminous Foundation (doors 7pm)

Marco Cannavo and Steve Tyler present Musica Medievalis, an instrumental journey into the music of medieval Europe. Featuring hurdy-gurdy and its early predecessors, alongside harp, lute, citole, portative organ, bladder pipe, and tambourine, the concert explores rhythms and melodies from both sacred and secular traditions, interpreted with imaginative freedom while remaining rooted in historical sources.

Wiltshire-based electronic duo Luminous Foundation are Neil Mortimer (also of Urthona) and Mark Pilkington (also of Teleplasmiste).

Inspired primarily by the kosmische music of 1970s Germany, their semi-improvised, hardware-based sound brings catchy melodies, motorik rhythms, hypnotic ambience and flickers of atonality.

Saturday lunchtime - Yuri Bellicanta harpsichord recital (noon)

Saturday afternoon (from 2pm)- there will be an afternoon of music and spoken word at the Cider Press Stage, on the edge of the village.

Sunday afternoon - Overlaps + Sarum Morris and Ouse Valley Morris (various times)

An improvisational piece for 6 players. Cards are drawn to determine the order of play and the players respond to the location and each other to create an entirely new peice of music. The festival will close with Morris dancing from a local and visiting side.

More music, art, dance and spoken word events to be announced. Weekend tickets cover entry to all events over the weekend and are to be exchanged for a hand crafted ceramic festival pass.

Don't miss out on the chance to experience a unique celebration of international arts right here in Homington!
