About Reading Minster

Reading Minster is the only surviving medieval parish church in England still known as a 'minster', originally founded by Æthelwold, Archbishop of Canterbury. While currently undergoing conservation and conversion for modern use, its history spans over a millennium as a significant religious site. The building features extensive Romanesque and Gothic architecture, including remarkable stained glass and carved stone.
