Join Us for the Assembly on Alcohol Harms!

The Assembly aims to address emerging alcohol-related harms and strengthen public health protections by focussing on six interactive “Challenge Zones”:

Drink Deliveries – age verification, late-night delivery, regulatory reform and compliance.

No/Low Alcohol Advertising – concerns about brand stretching and cross-promotion.

Unregulated Influencer Advertising – transparency, platform accountability and monitoring.

Youth Exposure and Early Initiation – reducing alcohol marketing exposure and delaying uptake.

Alcohol-Related Violence and Community Safety – coordinated responses to alcohol-related harms.

Breaches of the Public Health Alcohol Act – improving reporting, enforcement and transparency.

The Assembly is designed to be highly participatory, using facilitated mixed-sector groups to develop practical, evidence-informed recommendations . The overall goal is to co-produce actionable solutions that contribute to safer communities.
