About This Event
Sea watch at Bolberry Down allows participants to join National Trust staff and volunteers. The activity involves searching for porpoises and dolphins. Tickets are free.
An opportunity to join enthusiastic National Trust staff and volunteers as we search for dolphins and porpoises at Bolberry Down and learn about our local species, as part of Sea watch Foundation's National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week.
As well as being beneficial for conservation, joining a sea survey can be valuable to our mental health and wellbeing. This accessible seawatch will be along the accessible path, which is suitable for most mobility vehicles. Please note there are no toilet facilities.
National Whale and Dolphin Watch is a nine-day event run by Sea Watch Foundation to collect as much data as possible across the UK and Ireland. With organised watches and events taking place across the country we aim to use citizen science to collect a ‘snapshot’ of the status and distribution of wildlife in our coastal waters.
