AI 101 is a practical, jargon-free course for AI for professionals who want to understand what AI can do and how to apply it to their work.

Overview

AI 101 from Datnexa has been created to provide individuals with the confidence, digital fluency, and shared vocabulary to engage in AI conversations with stakeholders and suppliers. By the end of the course participants will understand what is required to move from an idea to a working AI-enabled service in their own organisation.

Course Outcomes

Fundamental to AI 101 is explaining what AI is in plain language and covering key concepts such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and generative AI, the course focuses on real-world applications rather than theory, using examples from sectors like finance, education, healthcare, marketing, and customer service.​

Participants will learn how to brief AI tools effectively, spot common pitfalls, and identify quick wins that save time in everyday tasks like drafting, summarising, and analysis.​ Alongside this, the course also encourages critical thinking about ethics, bias, transparency, and regulation, helping individuals to use AI tools safely and responsibly while protecting data and reputation.​

Joining a Course

To join one of our in-person AI 101 courses and study with peers, sharing ideas, and seeing how others are putting AI into practice, you can register for tickets through Eventbrite or email joe@datnexa.com.

Classes are £99 per person, with a maximum of 10 tickets per registrant, and are available in central locations in London, Peterborough, Leeds, Newcastle Bristol and Edinburgh. Once you have registered we will be in touch to confirm a date and venue and to take payment. Please note while we have put dates for classes weekly on a Thursday, the exact date of a class will be dependent on the take up and location of that class. The final date and location will be discussed once a ticket for the course has been purchased. If you want to make a group booking please email in advance to arrange a date and location.
