About This Event

THE HAND WRIST AND FOREARM CPD will be held online on October 24, 2026. This workshop provides an opportunity to refresh or build anatomy knowledge concerning the hand, wrist, and forearm.

Whether you are refreshing your anatomy knowledge or new to the subject, a workshop with Gary is always enlightening. This workshop focuses on the anatomy, articulation and function of the hand, wrist and forearm. We will see how they relate to the connective tissue and the tensegrity of the entire body as well as understanding of how the hand, wrist and forearm work in key asanas. The aims of this day are: To describe and explain the anatomy and function of the hand, wrist and forearm To describe & explain the articulation of the hand, wrist and forearm To relate the hand, wrist and forearm to its connective tissue & tensegrity of the entire body To encourage students to develop their kinaesthetic awareness of the hand and fore arm To look at the balance of weight on the hands Gary has over 35 year experience in movement, physical training, anatomical study and bodywork practices. He has lectured extensively on the anatomy of Yoga in the UK, Europe and America. He is the founder of the Natural Bodies Centre in Brighton, dedicated to the work and approach of Vanda Scarivelli, which was not so much about executing postures but cultivating the conditions that allow the body’s natural intelligence to awaken.
