Event Summary
This Community Champions Locality Event provides an opportunity for Champions to come together, share experiences, and explore the impact of the Community Champions programme on your communities and networks. Through round table discussions and reflection, you will help identify how the programme is supporting healthier communities, strengthening community connections, and reducing health inequalities across Nottingham.
The session will focus on understanding the real difference Champions are making through sharing health information, supporting community engagement, encouraging healthier behaviours, and ensuring that the voices of local communities are heard. You will have the chance to share your personal journeys, celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and contribute valuable insights that will help shape the future development of the Community Champions programme.
We would particularly value your thoughts and experiences on the following questions:
To what extent Champions and communities are better informed and connected?
How is the programme contributing to highlighting and address health inequalities?
How have Community Champions facilitated improvements in local community health and wellbeing?
How has the programme helped to improve access to health and care services.
How do Champions support the sharing of health knowledge between peers, encourage healthier behaviours, and reach marginalised communities?
Due to the nature of the discussions, we ask that only Community Champions attend this event.
