The UKETS Novel Endovascular Therapies workshop will run on 11 December 2026 at The Biscuit Factory. This course enables endovascular practitioners to expand their expertise with novel therapies including atherectomy, thrombectomy and IVUS. Entry costs £225.00.
A new course for endovascular practitioners to expand their expertise with novel therapies, including atherectomy, thrombectomy and IVUS.
Novel Endovascular Therapies (NET)
The next step in advanced endovascular training
Modern endovascular practice is evolving rapidly. New devices, techniques and treatment strategies continue to expand what is possible in the management of peripheral arterial disease, creating new opportunities, and new challenges, for today's vascular specialists.
NET has been developed to help clinicians confidently make that transition.
Created by the award-winning UK Endovascular Trainees (UKETS) faculty, NET is an immersive, one-day advanced simulation course for practitioners who have already mastered the fundamentals of angioplasty and are ready to broaden their expertise across contemporary endovascular therapies.
Advanced simulation for modern endovascular practice
Through expert-led teaching, realistic simulation and extensive hands-on practice, delegates will gain the technical skills, clinical judgement and confidence needed to incorporate advanced endovascular techniques into everyday practice.
Rather than simply introducing new technologies, NET focuses on how and when to use them safely, effectively and appropriately, helping delegates develop a structured approach to increasingly complex interventions.
Who is NET for?
NET is designed for clinicians who already perform endovascular procedures and are looking to expand their therapeutic options and procedural confidence.
The course is particularly suited to:
Vascular Surgery trainees (ST7–8)
Interventional Radiology trainees (ST6)
Newly appointed consultant vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists
Delegates should already have experience performing basic angioplasty procedures.
Previous attendance at UKETS Basic Endovascular Skills or Angioplasty Essentials is recommended but not essential.
What you'll gain
NET provides practical experience across a broad range of advanced endovascular technologies and therapeutic techniques used in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.
Working alongside expert faculty, delegates will learn to:
Select the most appropriate technologies for different lesion characteristics
Develop strategies for crossing, vessel preparation and definitive treatment
Improve procedural planning and intra-operative decision-making
Build confidence using contemporary endovascular devices
Refine technical performance through high-fidelity simulation
Apply current evidence and best practice to complex clinical scenarios
The emphasis throughout is on translating technical knowledge into safe, effective clinical practice.
Why choose NET?
NET has been designed around one principle: you learn advanced procedures by performing them.
Unlike traditional lecture-based courses, NET prioritises immersive, simulation-based learning with extensive hands-on experience throughout the day.
To maximise learning, delegate numbers are deliberately limited, ensuring close interaction with faculty, personalised feedback and exceptional access to equipment and simulation models.
The course includes:
High-fidelity endovascular simulation
Consultant-led practical workshops
Small-group teaching
Excellent faculty-to-delegate ratios
Exposure to a wide range of contemporary endovascular technologies
Personalised feedback throughout the course
Pre-course learning resources
By the end of the course, delegates will leave with greater confidence, enhanced technical capability and practical skills that can be applied immediately in clinical practice.
