On Saturday 15 August 2026, Hindmarsh Hall in Newcastle will host *Borderings*, an afternoon of music, poetry and performance drawn from the North-East. The programme begins at 4pm and explores themes of land, border, memory and identity, featuring a lineup of local artists whose work is shaped by the region’s coastline, history and folklore. The performances weave together folk-influenced melodies, spoken word and ambient soundscapes, creating a shifting, liminal atmosphere that mirrors the title’s concern with thresholds and boundaries. This immersive event offers a contemplative journey through the edges of place and self, where the familiar rhythms of the North-East coastline meet the quieter echoes of memory and myth. Tickets are priced at £17.50.
