concertnova's twentieth season doesn't look back. For two decades, the organization has experimented with putting classical music where it isn't expected, next to something it isn't supposed to touch. This season is the latest round — five new programs and three additional events, from a sculpture-garden concert to a bluegrass gala to a minimalism festival curated by Timo Andres. The instinct hasn't changed: surprise opens people up, and what they let in from there is what transforms them.

Andres and concertnova musicians present an intimate house concert at the Lloyd Taft House, an award-winning modernist residence designed by architect Charles Gwathmey. The program is curated in direct response to the house itself — process-based works and pieces built on flexible instrumentation, chosen for their own architectural logic: repetition as structure, structure as form.

#mainstage concerts are large-scale events that put classical music front and center. Expect to hear amazing musical performances and explore new ideas from an interdisciplinary lens.

#playwithus events are interactive unexpected (in a good way) hands-on experiences. Join in with concertnova musicians to make music and see the world creatively. These concerts aren’t always included with a subscription, but subscribers get discounts on single tickets.
