Our knowledgeable guide will take you through the rooms of our Grade I listed building in Mayfair, including the iconic Theatre, Faraday Lab and Library. You will explore the historic home of science and learn about our mission to bring people together to share their interest and passion for science.
By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Ri's event terms and conditions.
Welcome Tours are free for Ri Members and Patrons - consider joining today.
Tours will begin and promptly start on the hour. There will be a brief question/answer period after the tour and the chance to explore our exhibition space.
Latecomers may miss parts of the tour.
Tours will be delivered in English by our specialist in-house guides, last approximately 45 minutes and involve walking and standing. A lift is available for those unable to manage stairs. The tour is wheelchair accessible. Further information about visiting, facilities and accessible access can be found here.
Please Note: Because the Ri is a working building and is in constant use, it may not be possible to visit every part of the building, but every effort will be made to make the tour as comprehensive as possible.
