The Line Youth Guides lead a free guided walk along the Thames Path from North Greenwich to the Royal Docks, exploring public artworks.

Part of Totally Thames festival 2026.

The Line’s youth guides lead a walk along the Thames Path at North Greenwich to the Royal Docks exploring the public artworks, local histories and the river landscape. They will share stories of art, environment and community, inviting participants to experience the Thames as a living cultural corridor.

This guided tour of The Line led by youth guides is a participatory walk connecting public art, heritage and nature along the Thames Path at North Greenwich and to the Royal Docks via the IFS Cloud cable car.

Each summer The Line employs local young people aged 18–25 to lead walking tours that explore the artworks, landscapes and histories of the Thames riverside. Participants will encounter artworks along the route while learning about the social and environmental stories connected to this stretch of the river.

The walk begins at Greenwich Peninsula and follows the Thames Path, highlighting artworks by artists such as Serge Attukwei Clottey, Antony Gormley, Gary Hume and others. The journey includes the IFS Cloud cable car crossing to the Royal Docks (cost not included), offering a dramatic aerial perspective of the Thames as both infrastructure and ecosystem.

This walk is presented as part of Totally Thames festival 2026, the annual celebration of the River Thames across September.
