Join a literary event featuring stories from the medieval world led by an author, art historian and artist at The Sanctuary AndSoul in London on September 10th. It includes a Q&A session after the performance.
Join Sunday Times bestselling author, medievalist, art historian and artist to explore the stories of the medieval world. Followed by Q&A.
What can the stories of a culture tell us about how its people really lived? For Dr Amy Jeffs, they reveal everything – throwing new light onto politics, power, religion, gender, economics, family life and more.
As a historian of stories, Amy dives into medieval manuscripts to resurrect their tales, combining vivid retellings with erudite historical commentary to open a window onto the medieval mind. Join us for an evening with Amy Jeffs as she explores the forgotten, wilder stories of the medieval world – myths of monsters and miracles, of outcasts and unlikely heroes, of storm-lashed coasts and enchanted forests – brought to life alongside her striking linocut illustrations.
Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7:30pm - come down early to grab a good seat!
