Join wildlife photographer and guide Harry Rice and photographer Andy Washington for a relaxed, practical wildlife photography workshop in and around Walthamstow Wetlands. Andy is also a volunteer at the wetlands and will share his local knowledge of the reserve, its wildlife and the best areas to explore.

During the session, we will visit a variety of wetland habitats in search of kingfishers, grebes, herons, birds of prey and other local wildlife. Harry and Andy will offer guidance on camera settings, autofocus, exposure, composition and fieldcraft, helping photographers respond confidently to changing light and moving subjects.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced photographers, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive individual support. Wildlife spotters, birdwatchers and walkers are also very welcome, so you do not need to bring a camera to enjoy the experience.

Wildlife will be observed responsibly, without baiting or disturbance. Ten per cent of all ticket sales will be donated to London Wildlife Trust, helping to protect London’s wildlife and wild spaces.
