On 16 September 2026, the Willow Orchestra presents Inside the Orchestra at Annunciation Marble Arch in London to offer musicians' perspectives on performing Beethoven. The programme features a rendition of Beethoven's First Symphony conducted by Pavel Kushnir, an educator and pianist known for his provocative approach to music education. This forthcoming concert invites audiences to view the composer's work through the eyes of performers rather than as traditional listeners.
This concert welcomes you to take the musician’s perspective on performing Beethoven. Pavel Kushnir was not just a brilliant pianist, but an educator and provocateur. The Pavel Kushnir Scholarship therefore tries to follow his intentions. We are thrilled to invite you for the concert or, say, experience, that you probably never had before. We invite you for the rehearsal of Beethoven’s First Syphony with the Willow Orchestra. The audience will be placed alongside with the musicians and right next to the strings or trumpets. Please, consider that the music you will here during this rehearsal can be distorted in a way, or disbalanced. But do not worry, after the interval we will put your seats back – and you will listen to what has just rehearsed as an audience in a normal sense. Conducted by Bogdan Skrypka, this very special concert is promising to be one of a kind. Tickets available on Eventbrite .
