An Everton Stadium Guided Tour will take place at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. The tour will cover the stadium, which was built within a Victorian heritage location.
A tour of the Hill Dickinson Stadium, built within the Victorian heritage location of Bramley Moor Dock - limited numbers, booking essential
This is an exciting opportunity to visit Everton Football Club's new stadium located on the site of the old Bramley-Moore Dock and situated within the Stanley Dock Conservation area. The Dock was opened in 1848, as part of Jesse Hartley's major northern expansion scheme of that year. The stadium design preserves some elements of the area’s Victorian Heritage such as the 1883 listed Hydraulic Tower and Engine house together with various maritime features such as the restorationof railway lines, mooring bollards and street sets.
The development has been the source of diverse opinions. When originally proposed, the Victorian Society and Historic England both opposed the development. It has, however, been wholeheartedly welcomed by both local and visiting fans of the club.
Arranged by Christina Clarke, a committee member of the Liverpool Regional Group of the Victorian Society, Christina was a founding member of the Save Our City Campaign, which fought against the demolition of historic buildings in Liverpool’s city centre. A life member of the Victorian Society, she has given talks and led events for the Liverpool group and many local organisations.
Please note, the tour includes walking for a period of time over a distance of approximately one mile. Lifts are available, and mobility difficulties can be accommodated.
Meeting Point: Tours Reception next to the Club shop. Once checked in go through security and up into Trinity Café where we will meet our Everton Stadium Guides and the tour will begin.
