Fiona is single and drifting through the uneasy stretch before middle age. She adores dogs more than most people and spends too much money on shoes. She has a bike but can’t ride one and has no man but can ride them. She never learned to ride a bike, something that embarrassed her more than she admitted. This show navigates the highs and lows of an autistic woman with mental health issues in a country drenched in a past of religious stigma and oppression around mental health. Beneath her sharp humour and stubborn independence is someone trying hard to hold herself together while navigating fear, desire, and the hope that life might still surprise her.
