A physio-led stretch session for people living with axial SpA

Join us for afriendly physio-led exercise session designed especially for folks living with axial SpA. It’s a great chance to meet others, talk to a physiotherapist with a special interest in axial SpA and try out some exercise. .

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing it for years, come along and connect with a supportive community right here in Leicester.

The session will start at 18:30 with a chance to meet and chat with John Snaith, Clinical Specialist MSK Physiotherapist for the University Hospitals of Leicester. If it's your first session, we will ask you to complete some medical information about yourself and there will be time to discuss what you'd like to get out of the session.

At 18:45 John will take you through a gentle 30-minute HIIT session. HIIT stands forhigh-intensity interval training,. It's a workout method that alternates short bursts of maximum-effort exercise with brief recovery periods. But don't worry - it's designed for anyone with axial SpA and the exercises can be adapted to meet your needs..

Then at 19:15 we will chat about how everyone found it and what you'd like from future sessions.
