Unlock the stories, images and moments stored in your own memory bank in this relaxed and enjoyable creative writing workshop.

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll use memories as a starting point for writing in any form, including fiction, memoir, poetry, song lyrics, journalling or creative non-fiction. Through short prompts, discussion, reading extracts and guided exercises, you’ll explore how remembered moments, objects, people and places can become rich material for new writing.

No previous writing experience is needed. You’ll be supported in a friendly and encouraging environment, with time to experiment, reflect and develop your own ideas at your own pace.

Come along, get curious, and discover how even the smallest memory can open the door to a new piece of writing.

Come away with new writing, fresh ideas and techniques you can return to whenever you want to write from memory, experience or imagination.

What do I need to bring?

A notebook and pen.

Please remember when putting in ticket information for more than one ticket that the correct information is provided for each individual person.

You will need to complete a short enrolment form in the centre before the course begins, we can help you with this and it won't take long (approx 5 mins) we just ask that you bring proof of ID.
