Park to Park will be a guided wellbeing and nature walk taking place on October 10, 2026, at Cottingham Green Car Park in Hull. The walk connects Cottingham and Beverley, with optional relaxation time at a cafe at the conclusion. Entry is free.
A guided wellbeing and nature walk between Cottingham and Beverley (and optional relax in a cafe at the end!)
Join Alan for a gentle group walk from Cottingham to Beverley, following public footpaths through Millbeck Local Nature Reserve and Beverley Parks, with a short pause at the Millennium Orchard.
The walk will finish at Junk Soul Smothered, where you can choose to buy food and drinks, socialise, and take some time to reflect on your experience with the trees. You are welcome to stay at Junk for as long as you like.
The aim is simple: to spend time among trees and nature, enjoy the outdoors, and experience a sense of wellbeing with like-minded people.
This is a gentle, social walk, rather than a fast-paced hike. The emphasis is on being outdoors, connecting with nature, taking things at a comfortable pace, and enjoying time with others.
The walk:
Meet at 10:00am at Cottingham Green bus shelter
The distance is approximately 6.5 miles
The walking time is around 3 hours, depending on the needs of the group
The terrain is mostly flat, with no stiles
Some sections have uneven ground, so comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring plenty of hydration.
Accessibility notes:
This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters, including all-terrain models, because there are some very narrow sections of path.
There are also some uneven surfaces.
If you have any accessibility needs, concerns, or would like to discuss possible adjustments, please get in touch by emailing arts@hfoe.org.uk before booking. We are happy to talk through the route and see what might be possible.
You do not have to complete the full distance. By prior arrangement, it may be possible to join the group part way through the walk.
Alternatively, you can join us directly at Junk at around 1:00pm (in which case, don't book - just turn up and find us!)
