About This Event

The Pennine 500 is a challenging 500-kilometre circular bikepacking route that sets off from Mytholmroyd in the Calder Valley. This demanding journey crosses the spine of the Pennines, taking riders past the Roman ruins of Vindolanda Fort, the rugged terrain of the Bowland Knotts, the dramatic escarpment of High Cup Nick, the remote bothy at Greg’s Hut, and the famous Tan Hill Inn. Participants will also follow the course of the River Swale and pass through the historic village of Haworth before completing the loop back to the start. The event is scheduled for Saturday 29 May 2027, with the start line located at Mytholmroyd Community Centre in Bradford. All further details, including entry fees and registration procedures, can be found on the official event website.
