A candlelit evening of crystal singing bowls and gong for deep rest and relaxation.

Step away from the noise of everyday life and into a warm, softly lit space where you can simply switch off for a while.

The Crystalline Sound Bath is one of The Tone Temple’s signature experiences. You’ll be invited to get comfortable, lie down beneath a blanket and allow the sounds of crystal singing bowls and gong to wash around you.

There’s nothing you need to do, achieve or get right. No meditation experience is needed. Simply close your eyes, listen and rest.

Throughout the session, crystal singing bowls create soft, sustained tones, while the deeper vibrations of the gong add rich waves of sound that can be felt as well as heard. Together, they create an immersive soundscape designed to help you slow down, release some of the tension of the day and settle into deep relaxation.

As the session unfolds, you may notice your breathing becoming slower, your thoughts becoming quieter and your body beginning to soften. Some people drift in and out of sleep, some experience a dreamlike meditative state, and others simply enjoy an hour of uninterrupted rest.

However you experience it, there is no right or wrong way to receive a sound bath.

How does a sound bath work?

Sound has a wonderful ability to capture our attention without requiring us to concentrate. The slow, repetitive tones and vibrations of the bowls and gong can create an environment that encourages the body and mind to settle.

Rather than needing to actively meditate or quieten your thoughts, you can simply listen and allow the sounds to become a gentle focal point.

Everyone experiences sound differently. You might feel deeply relaxed, notice physical sensations from the vibrations, experience emotions or imagery, or simply feel calmer and more grounded afterwards.

What to expect

You’ll be welcomed into our warm, candlelit studio and invited to make yourself comfortable on one of our floor beds.

Blankets, cushions and eye pillows are provided, so all you need to do is arrive, settle in and let yourself rest.

The evening moves slowly and spaciously, with plenty of time to arrive before the sound begins and gently come back afterwards.

This experience can be especially lovely if you’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, mentally busy or simply tired and in need of some proper time for yourself.

Never been to a sound bath before?

You’re very welcome.

You don’t need to be spiritual, good at meditation or have any previous experience. Think of it as an opportunity to lie down somewhere beautiful, put the outside world on hold and be immersed in the sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls and gong.
