Big Sleepout 2026

Friday 13 November 2026 | The Walled Garden | 6.00pm – 6.30am

Your mission is to build your own shelter from scratch using whatever materials you bring with you, then spend the night sleeping out to stand in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness and raise vital funds for Wycombe Homeless Connection.

How it works

You'll be sleeping out at the Walled Garden in West Wycombe. You'll be assigned a pitch in which to build your shelter. There is a cover over the VIP area and it is a hardstanding floor but it is open on all sides. You'll be given one of our night shelter 'beds' but will need to build a shelter to cover it and keep yourself safe from the elements.

We encourage everyone to build a shelter from the materials they bring rather than using a tent. However, if a tent is the only way you'll be able to take part, that's fine, we'd much rather have you with us. Just bear in mind that people are sponsoring you to take on the challenge, and we'll need to be able to check on everyone during the night, so your tent must be as small as possible and the door must remain open.
