The evening opens with Schnittke’s Concerto for Piano and Strings, a work of striking contrasts that showcases Maxim’s artistry at the keyboard. At the heart of the programme is Bartók’s Music for Strings, Percussion and Celeste, celebrated for its rhythmic vitality and haunting beauty.
