Beginning in 2022, the Glasgow Bach Cantata Project is an exciting venture aimed at bringing the glory of J.S. Bach’s 200 + cantatas to Glasgow. Under the Musical Direction of Michael Bawtree and Frikki Walker, the project is bringing together some of the best players and singers from Glasgow and beyond to perform as many of Bach’s cantatas as possible over the coming years. In our 25th concert we have three more glorious cantatas to share: BWV 27 Wer weiß, wie nahe mir mein Ende? BWV 95 Christus, der ist mein Leben BWV 127 Herr Jesu Christ, wahr' Mensch und Gott All performers are giving their time for free. Proceeds go to Glasgow's oldest charity working with homeless people in our city - Glasgow City Mission.
