An Evening with the Maclean Brothers takes place at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street. Lachlan, Ewan, and Jamie Maclean will discuss their non-stop row of nearly 10,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean. Ticket prices are available on the website.
Last year, Lachlan, Ewan, and Jamie Maclean rowed nearly 10,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean non-stop, from Peru to Australia, raising over a million pounds for charity. A few years before that, they had barely rowed at all. The journey to their epic odyssey, and across the Ocean, tested their resolve, their relationships, and their belief in each other and themselves - but also brought moments of profound connection, to each other and to the sea they were rosing across. Three Brothers In A Boat is their brilliant and moving account of their odyssey, and of the clean water causes that motivated them. The Maclean brothers will join us to talk about going from novices to record-breaking rowers, the bonds of brotherhood, the challenges of endurance rowing, and the environmental causes motivating their journey, before signing copies of their book.
